Great Place!!

We had company on the weekend the students came back and couldn't get in anywhere. I called Grecos and they fit us in. The place was packed, but the service was amazing! The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. I always forget what an excellent restaurant this is!! I will be back sooner this next time!

Delightful Experience everytime

For anyone who is visiting from out of town do not hesitate to visit Grecos.. My husband and I go there everytime we visit and we always have a great time.. I find the negative reviews about the food and the staff to be hilarious and most likely undeserved.. Lets face it complainers often over estimate their importance in this world.. The food has always been exceptional and the servers actually have personalities, unlike most of the chain restaurants that offer up their pre-frozen menus in a sterile enviroment.. Great Place..

Terrible service, used to be big fans

My boyfriend and I had a nice casual dinner planned at a former favourite restaurant of ours. We reserved a table for 2 by the window, and were seated promptly by the host. But when our waiter came over, he opened with "Why are you sitting there?" in the rudest manner possible, as if he were scolding children. We thought he was joking but he continued with "This table is reserved." and after us staring in disbelief he realized "Oh was it reserved for you? But this is a table for 4." But instead of apologizing, he then went to talk to the other waiters loudly by the bar, we could overhear him saying "Who sat them there?" and such. It was ridiculous and service like this is completely unacceptable. The worst part was, when we confronted the waiter about how he treated us rudely, he was condescending and did not apologize sincerely at all, he kept denying that he had acted rudely at all. We felt so offended by his behaviour that we left the restaurant without ordering. We've been to Grecos a number of times in the past, but even if the food is good, it's impossible to enjoy ourselves after being treated so rudely. We will NOT be returning, which is a shame because we really used to like this restaurant. The service was bad enough to deter us from ever entering Grecos again.

we've been to grecos a couple of times now and...

we've been to grecos a couple of times now and the food there has always been fantastic! their lamb shank is to die for, big portions that you can barely finish with meat so tender, you don't even need a knife, it just falls off the bone! their house wine was also delicious, a wonderful compliment to the meal and good quality for the price per bottle! the pasta was plentiful with lots of shrimp and mussels and the saganaki is always a treat, presented with plenty of flair and a hearty 'opa!' service was friendly and fairly prompt for a busy saturday night. my only complaint is that the place is a bit small for the number of tables they have and it can get pretty crowded and loud. still, i'd go back anytime!
