We've been to the Granite Brewery a number of times as the food is always fantastic with generous portions. In addition to the delicious food, they have a good selection of their own brews. We especially enjoyed their Ringwood, a delightful blonde. There are different atmospheres for different tastes, but at the Granite Brewery they have several to choose from. Two excellent patios, a bar, and a family restaurant area, all designed for comfort. The rear patio looks particularly amazing, but as it was raining, we'll just have to wait until next time to try it out. It should also be noted that the Granite Brewery has free parking with easy access. The Granite Brewery gets our highest recommendation and we will be back soon. Lire plus

I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio? I reccomend this place for familes/kids/ grandma and grandpa... They have the biggest and best breakfast at a great price...the home fries are home made.. the soup of the day is ALWAYS good and home made...The meals are huge and come with a soup or salad and bread... you cannot go wrong here.. best food on the menu: steaks, souvlaki, club sandwich, western sandwich, eggs benedict and the gravy is home made so get a hot turkey open faced sandwich with lots of gravy and home made mashed potatoes! Tried this place out because of the mostly great reviews, and I agree. Best chicken club I've ever been served, home fries were REAL - DONE ON A GRILL, and were delicious, a pleasure to wait for. The bacon this restaurant uses is amazing, not salty or greasy, fantastic. The chef was surprisingly young (20's), but sure knows his way around a grill, and old-style/old school cooking. I couldn't finish my club (very rare for me). The place is not fancy and the chairs are hard/uncomfortable, but maybe they don't want people sitting around too long? Will definitely be going back here as a go-to spot -- you can dine here with confidence! Lire plus

This place is great! I was there a few days ago with a friend and had some lunch. Lots of space and not too crammed like the other diners in the area. The omellette and pasta was perfect. I'm a frequent visitor of Bleu Turtle. The chef and staff are always courteous! I think one more server would be beneficial - but I usually come to catch up with a friend and don't mind the wait. I order the smoked salmon tart EVERY time. I just can't seem to have anything else - I love it so much! I have tried their pork belly and it's amazing. I haven't heard a complaint from any of my dining partners about their meals. Only praise! Pricier than your regular greasy spoon - but definitely worth the price. My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal.
